Copper Bones, Triple Stones

Finally finished my piece for The Goonies entitled Copper Bones, Triple Stones. When Mikey, Data, Mouth and Chunk go on an adventure to find the buried treasure of One-Eyed Willie, a legendary 17th-century pirate, they run into all kinds of trouble. I chose this scene from The Goonies because it is just as the adventure begins while on the run from the Fratelli brothers. The boys head to the coast and stumble upon an abandoned seaside restaurant that seems to match coordinates set by the map and a Spanish Doubloon, unaware that the Fratellis, a family of criminals, are using the restaurant as their hideout. One of the key props in The Goonies was this Spanish Doubloon. According to legend, One-Eyed Willy had his own currency cast for use amongst his men. One of his coins was drilled with odd shaped holes as a clue to help lead to his horde of hidden treasure.

Hey ZAPOL!

Thank you for the kind words. This Goonies piece is available at a show I'm having here in Long Beach. I'm looking at different print and silk screen shops now to see where I could have a limited run of these and other works printed so I can put them up for sale. I will keep you posted. Stay warm over there! :D
